Optical gratings, 3-in-1
This set consists of three original gratings from Paton Hawksley with 100, 300 and 600 lines per mm respectively. The gratings are mounted between plane-parallel glass plates in a cardboard frame of 90 x 30 mm. The middle grating corresponds to 7500 lines per inch, which gives an accurate line count of 295.28 lines per mm. Each grating has an area of 9 x 16 mm.
Plane mirror, acrylic – pack of 10
This plane mirror is made of plastic with a reflective coating and measures 90 x 65 x 1.2 mm. The material does not splinter and can be cut with ordinary scissors, making it easy to adapt to different purposes. The mirror is coated on one side, providing a smooth and reflective surface.
Spring set, 5 different ones with hook
This spring set contains five springs of the same length but with different stiffnesses, so they can be loaded differently. Each spring has a closed suspension at one end and a hook at the other end, making them easy to hang and attach weights to.
Diffraction grating, 100 lines/mm
Grating copy encapsulated between two glass plates for protection and flatness. Active grating area approx. 45 × 30 mm; total glass plate size approx. 63.5 × 48 mm. The grating constant (100 l/mm) gives clearly separated diffraction maxima when using common light sources and lasers.
Hammer
A percussion hammer is a spare part used with tuning forks on resonance boxes. The hammer allows precise and controlled striking of the tuning fork, causing it to vibrate without being damaged. It is adapted to the mentioned models of tuning forks on resonance boxes and ensures correct use and long life of the equipment.
Solar cell car, rechargeable
This solar car is a small model car equipped with a rechargeable battery. The battery is charged when the car is exposed to sunlight or a powerful lamp, after which the car can continue to drive without direct sunlight. It provides a practical and visual demonstration of how solar energy can be stored and used as a motive power.
Solar energy experiment set
Solderless solar kit with 10 project ideas and English instructions. Includes breadboard (80 × 60 mm), microcontroller, solar cell, resistors, transistors, diodes, speaker and battery box. Projects range from solar LED and “attention grabber” to musical instrument, IR tester, garden lamp, motion sensor and battery charger. Good addition to an existing electronics/breadboard kit.
Solar cell kit
The solar cell kit consists of a small solar panel and associated components such as a motor, sounder, light source and connecting wires. The kit is simple and compact, which makes it easy to get started with experiments involving solar energy. On the back of the panel, it is possible to connect the cells in series or parallel using sockets, and at the same time an included bulb can be connected so that the solar cells’ output can be made visible. There is also the possibility that the solar cells supply energy to other objects such as cars, games and the like.
Solar airship, 3 M, Ø 60 cm
This solar airship is a large cylindrical balloon made of thin black plastic. It measures 3 meters in length and 60 cm in diameter. The airship is filled with air, closed and tied with the included string, giving it an elongated balloon shape. The black surface absorbs the sun’s rays, which heats the trapped air and creates buoyancy in the same way as in a hot air balloon.
Convection chamber, Air, Budget
The convection chamber is used to demonstrate convection in air. It consists of a metal chamber with a sliding glass door, which is placed on an aluminum base plate. When the air is heated with a tealight (included), you can clearly see how the hot air rises and cold air flows in, for example. with the help of smoke from a smoke source. The chamber provides a simple and visual way to investigate air movement and temperature differences.
Gyroscope on foot
Gyroscope for displaying inertial moment and torque.
The gyroscope is mounted on the foot via a bracket and ‘pulled up’ with a string. You can now observe how the gyroscope moves in relation to its 3 free axes. In addition to a suspension bracket and two feet – one of which has rocking chair rails, the gyroscope is supplied with a winding string and various weights. The gyro is made of brass, while the surrounding ring is made of metal and plastic. The feet and bracket are made of hard plastic.
Electromagnet, U shape
U-shaped electromagnet for demonstrating electromagnetism. When 4–6 V DC is connected, the core becomes magnetic, which can be demonstrated with the included rectangular iron plate with a lifting hook. The height is approx. 12 cm. The electromagnet is connected to standard safety plugs via the socket on the side of the coils.
Geometric shapes, set of 8 pieces
Geometric figures with removable ‘surfaces’. The set consists of 8 different geometric figures made of transparent plastic. Each figure can be opened and a colored, fold-out plastic part representing the figure’s surface can be removed. The set illustrates the relationship between a figure’s volume and surface area in a tangible and highly visible way.
Solar panel, Budget
Solar panels have cells that can be used individually or together. Each cell in the panel can be connected to a source, making it possible to see the effect of anything from 1 to 4 active cells. Each cell has a voltage of 1.5 V (DC), which is why the output voltage on the product can be varied from 1.5 V to 6 V.
The solar panel comes with safety cables and can be angled between 0-80 o .
Globe, magnetic
Globe with built-in bar magnet makes it possible to demonstrate the Earth’s magnetic field in a modeled scale. The globe diameter is 11 cm and is made of hard plastic coated with a map of the globe. The magnet is fixed in a holder so that field lines can be examined with, for example, a magnasonde or compass. Please note that no holder or base is included with the globe.
Electrolysis tank with syringes
The electrolysis vessel consists of a cylindrical chamber in acrylic with two graphite electrodes mounted in the bottom. The vessel has an internal dimension of ø 73 mm . The top is designed with two clamps that can each hold a syringe where the produced gas is collected and can later be tapped for further identification.
Water bath, mini, dome lid
A small round water bath with a Teflon-coated steel tub and transparent dome lid at a very reasonable price. The outer dimensions of the water bath are 195 x 190 x 260 mm, while the tub measures Ø150 x 105 mm. The power to the water bath is turned on via a button on the back of the bath, after which the temperature and time can be set on the easy-to-read digital display on the front of the bath.
