This tube has an inner diameter of 23 mm and gives the opportunity to insert a standard microscope eyepieces (for inspection or dual use by two students) or an eyepiece camera.It is a very popular demonstration microscope and furthermore features an LED light source, a nice modern design and the popular 60x objective as highest magnification. There is therefore no need for the use of immersion oil and troublesome cleaning of the lenses afterwards.
