Elec Transformer Coil 50/100 Turns
Elec Transformer Coil 50/100 TurnsA Twin coil transformer with 50 and 100 turns. Can be linked to other transformers from the set using the c-core and clip set LA10-864 to form primary and secondary coils / step-up & step-down transformers.
Elec Transformer Coil 550/600 Turns
Elec Transformer Coil 550/600 TurnsThe transformer coil 550/600 allows student investigations into the relationship between coil turns and voltage.
Elec Transformer Coils 400/500 Turns
Elec Transformer Coils 400/500 TurnsThe transformer coil 400/500 allows student investigations into the relationship between coil turns and voltage.
Electric Field Apparatus
Electric Field ApparatusA simple model for demonstrating electric fields between various electrode configurations. Place liquid paraffin in the 90mm petri dish and sprinkle semolina or fine grass seed (not supplied) on the surface.
Electro Mechanical System
Electro Mechanical SystemA fool-proof system for allowing students to investigate the raising of a mechanical load by an electrical input.
Electrode Holder
Electrode HolderA robust acrylic base, 130mm wide with two crocodile clip holders. The crocodile clips hold standard 5mm carbon rod or strip metal electrodes and can be connected to with 4mm leads.
Electromagnetic System
Electromagnetic SystemA self-contained unit allowing students to study the effect of current and number of coils on the strength of an electromagnet.
Electrostatic Plastic Strips[20]
Electrostatic Plastic Strips[20]A pack of 20 strips each measuring 200 x 25 x 2mm. Ten are polycarbonate and ten are polystyrene. When the strips are rubbed with a cloth they acquire opposite electrostatic charge for investigations into attraction and repulsion.
Electrostatic Stirrups Pk 10
Electrostatic Stirrups Pk 10Brass wire holders for supporting plastics strips in electrostatics experiments. Ten per pack supplied with a reel of monofilament nylon for hanging.
Energy Meter
Energy MeterThe Lascells Energy Meter provides an all-in-one solution to teaching Specific Heat Capacity. With real-time read out of voltage, current, time and temperature, all measurement parameters are provided for students to calculate Specific Heat Capacity from first principles.
Faraday’s Law Apparatus
Faraday’s Law ApparatusThis system provides a simple and effective method of studying Faraday’s Law. An acrylic tube supports an easily moved coil so that a small cylindrical magnet (supplied) can be dropped down the tube to generate a pulse of electricity as it passes through. An oscilloscope is used to monitor the pulse and measure its amplitude.
Fibre Optic Probe
Fibre Optic ProbeA white LED source with detachable fibre optic cable. The LED can be powered by any low voltage supply and when the fibre optic is inserted the beam can be seen coming from the fibre.
Fibre Optics
Fibre OpticsThis set provides a rugged, self-contained system for demonstrating and using a fibre optic communications link.
Fibre Optics Polymer 20mtrs
Fibre Optics Polymer 20mtrs20m of unterminated fibre optics polymer.
Fibre Optics Polymer 5mtrs
Fibre Optics Polymer 5mtrs5m of unterminated fibre optics polymer.
Flexi Ramp
Flexi RampA flexible surface made from durable PVC measuring 120 × 1220 × 3mm with 5mm side walls. The track can be used for creating curved or sloping tracks for use with small vehicles in roller-coaster type situations. Tracks can be linked together using the plates provided.
Force on a Conductor Apparatus
Force on a Conductor ApparatusThis is a traditional piece of equipment for demonstrating the effect of a current flowing in a conductor in the presence of a magnetic field.
Free Fall Tube
Free Fall TubeThis apparatus comprises a 1m long, 50mm diameter acrylic tube which can be partially evacuated using a hand pump through the end stopper.
Frequency Counter
Frequency CounterThe Lascells Strobe Frequency Counter provides a compact, economic, reliable and simple way of detecting the frequency of a strobe light source. The sensor is calibrated to work with the Lascells ripple tank, allowing a quick measurement of strobe frequency.
Friction Surfaces
Friction SurfacesA set of five surfaces to provide different coefficients of friction for dynamics experiments. Surfaces include wood, rubber, HIPS, sandpaper and carpet. Each surface measures 600 x 85 mm.
