The stereo microscopes from model 40 series are very similar to the model 30 series (077025-26). There are, however, some extra features that make it an ideal choice for more demanding users. It is slightly larger because it contains larger prisms and thus improved optics. The top and bottom illumination can be used simultaneously and the top light source is equipped with a halogen bulb The optical head rotates 360° for convenient viewing and the magnification is changed via a 90° rotating turret. The model 40 comes in two variants that only differs with regards to the magnification. The model 40C has 20x and 40x magnification.

With turret-mounted 1x and 3x objectives for quick magnification changes, an inclined head for viewing comfort and a dual illumination system for ideal specimen lighting. Top and bottom illumination cannot be used simultaneously. Other Model 30B eyepieces are available as extras allowing magnifications up to 60x.

Robust low-priced hobby/student microscope with simple optical glass objectives mounted on a revolving nosepiece. It comes with a plastic vertical stage with stage clips and a 6-hole disc condenser.
The eyetube is mounted at a 45 degree angle for comfortable viewing and has a wide-field eyepiece with built-in pointer. In addition to the traditional bottom light the microscope is provided with a top light, and is thus also suited for observation of surfaces of leaves, coins, insects etc.
