Wire-wound power potentiometer (5 W). The potentiometer is mounted on a solid base with three 4 mm safety sockets. Excellent as variable load resistance, e.g. for smaller solar cells. Withstands up to 220 mA regardless of setting.
As a potentiometer, the two outermost sockets can be connected to 0 V and e.g. 12 V (abs. max. 22 V). The center plug then gets an infinitely variable voltage.
