  • Radiolarians – Marine unicellular organisms with silicate shells in beautiful structures (Foraminifera)
  • Paramecium – Ciliate
  • Stylonychia – Ciliate
  • Spongilla – Freshwater sponges with isolated siliceous skeletal spicules
  • Hydra – Freshwater polyp, whole individual or section
  • Rotatoria – Rotifers, various species
  • Daphnia – Water fleas (Daphnia)
  • Cyclops – Copepod
  • Chironomus – Dancing midge larva
  • Decay bacteria Oscillatoria – Filamentous blue-green algae
