- Ceratium hirundinella – Fur algae (armor flagellate)
- Euglena – Eye algae, green flagellate with eyespot
- Radiolarians – Marine unicellular organisms with silicate shells in beautiful structures (Foraminifera)
- Paramecium – Ciliate
- Stylonychia – Ciliate
- Spongilla – Freshwater sponges with isolated siliceous skeletal spicules
- Hydra – Freshwater polyp, whole individual or section
- Rotatoria – Rotifers, various species
- Daphnia – Water fleas (Daphnia)
- Cyclops – Copepod
- Chironomus – Dancing midge larva
- Decay bacteria Oscillatoria – Filamentous blue-green algae
- Diatoms – Diatoms, various species
- Desmidiaceae – Coupling algae, various species
