Free-fall apparatus
This experimental equipment can be used for experiments with the movement of objects, and it can thus be used to determine the gravitational acceleration g based on the fall time and the fall length, as the following relationship applies:

The equipment consists of a release unit that also functions as a start switch and a drop plate that also functions as a stop switch. Two Ø12 mm gold-plated steel balls, two Ø16 mm gold-plated steel balls and a table tennis ball (Ø40 mm) that are tared so that they weigh the same as a Ø12 mm steel ball are included as falling objects.
