Air pressure and vacuum kit
This air pressure and vacuum set is used e.g. for demonstrating the effect of air pressure on the boiling point of water, the size of a balloon in a vacuum, and the holding power of a suction cup.
It can also be used to show that air has mass and that sound cannot travel in a vacuum. A plastic syringe and a one-way valve make up an affordable vacuum pump .
The set contains 10 experiment instructions, which can be given directly to students.

The Magdeburg hemispheres consist of two black hemispheres with a diameter of 10 cm, which can be tightly joined together and connected to a vacuum pump. When the air is pumped out, a vacuum is created between the hemispheres, and the external air pressure presses them together with great force.
