Electromagnet, U shape
U-shaped electromagnet for demonstrating electromagnetism. When 4–6 V DC is connected, the core becomes magnetic, which can be demonstrated with the included rectangular iron plate with a lifting hook. The height is approx. 12 cm. The electromagnet is connected to standard safety plugs via the socket on the side of the coils.

In addition, the effect of varying the coil separation on the shape of the magnetic field between the Helmholtz coils is examined.
