Description

Use of the product

In physics and chemistry, zinc wire can be used in experiments where the chemical properties of zinc are investigated, for example reactions with acids where hydrogen gas is formed, or in galvanic cells where the wire can act as an electrode. It can also be used in exercises on the voltage series and oxidation/reduction, where students gain experience with the role of zinc in electrochemical processes.

Outside of teaching, zinc wire is used for electrochemical experiments or corrosion protection, among other things. The wire can also be used in crafts and industry, where a malleable metal with special chemical properties and a special appearance is needed.
