It can be attached directly to the included BPA-free drinking bag, a regular ½-liter bottle, or used with the small straw directly in a stream or lake. With the so-called “squeeze function” the water can also be pressed through the filter instead of being sucked. This is a practical feature, especially if several people need to use the same filter.
The kit contains:
- Sawyer MINI water filter
- ½-liter drinking bag (reusable and BPA-free)
- 18 cm straw
- Cleaning spray
- Instructions for use and maintenance
Use of the product
In the classroom, the Sawyer mini kit can be used to investigate water quality, filtration, and water purification technology. Students can collect water from nature, analyze it before and after filtration, and discuss the importance of clean drinking water – both in terms of health, sustainability, and global issues. On camp trips or field trips, it serves as a robust and safe water purification tool.
