Water Cycle model
With this simulation model, you can recreate the water cycle and even make it rain in the classroom.
Description
The model consists of a 12 × 35 × 45 cm plastic tank with a sloping landscape, where mountains, valleys, coast and sea are represented. The lid is equipped with a container shaped like clouds, in which you place ice cubes. When a lamp (not included) is used as the “sun” and heats the water in the tank, the steam will rise, condense under the cold area of ice and fall as rain over the landscape before the water runs back to the “sea”.
Delivered ready to use, but without lamp.
Use of the product
In teaching, the model can be used to demonstrate the water cycle in a concrete and visually clear way. Students can follow the processes of evaporation, condensation, precipitation and runoff and thus gain a practical understanding of how water moves in nature. The model can be included in courses in nature/technology, geography and physics/chemistry, e.g. in connection with climate, weather or sustainability.
Also in other educational environments, such as nature centers or museums, the model can be used to show key natural processes in a simple and engaging way, where the audience can experience the water cycle as a small closed cycle.
