Ramp Surfaces

interchangeable Ramp Surfaces. Featuring carpet, rubber, sandpaper, smooth
plastic (HIPS) and corrugated plastic, the set enables students to investigate how
different surface materials affect friction and the motion of objects on an inclined
plane. Ideal for teaching forces and motion, the surfaces encourage students to
collect, analyse and compare experimental data while exploring the relationship
between surface texture, friction and motion.
Designed to fit directly onto the Lascells Ramp Set (LA30-400), the five surfaces
allow each student group to investigate a different material before rotating, making
efficient use of lesson time while encouraging comparison of results across the
class.
