Description

The uniform volume makes it easy to directly compare the density of materials and illustrate the difference in weight, even though the size is the same. The set allows students to explore both differences in density and material properties in a tangible and understandable way.

Use of the product

In physics classes, density squares are typically used to calculate and compare density and volume, e.g. by weighing the individual squares and calculating the density from weight and volume. They can also be used in experiments with buoyancy, heating or investigation of thermal conductivity. Outside of classes, the set can be used in demonstration experiments at trade fairs or in connection with an introduction to materials science in technical subjects, where one wants to give a concrete impression of material differences.
