Heat conduction rods, 4 x metals
Set of four rods in steel, brass, aluminum and copper in the same holder. Each rod is equipped with a liquid crystal indicator that turns green at approx. 40 °C and where the green temperature indicator moves up the rod in step with heat conduction in the metal. Max. working temperature approx. 100 °C; after cooling the experiment can be repeated.

Use of the product
Students can compare thermal conductivity between the 4 metals, make time measurements, and rank materials by thermal conductivity. The bars are suitable for discussing topics such as heat exchangers, heat sinks, and insulation.
