Electrostatic Material
The electrostatic materials set contains a variety of materials that can be used to investigate and demonstrate phenomena within static electricity. The set consists of rabbit skin, silk cloth, wool cloth, plexiglass rod, glass rod and PVC rod. Two rod holders on a stand are included, which can also be used with bar magnets, making it easy to set up and conduct experiments.

Use of the product
In physics lessons, the set can be used to show how different materials are charged by rubbing, and how charges can attract or repel each other. For example, students can investigate differences in the ability of materials to become electrically charged, test the attraction of small objects, or demonstrate the principles behind Coulomb’s law. The set allows for both teacher demonstrations and student activities where students themselves work practically with physical phenomena.
The materials can also be used at science centers or in outreach activities where static electricity is demonstrated visually.
