Blood typing kit AB0-Rh, simulated blood
This complete classroom set for 30 analyses allows students to work with the AB0 and Rhesus systems without the use of real blood. Blood typing is carried out safely and simply with simulated blood and simulated sera – Anti-A, Anti-B and Anti-Rh – which are added to small plastic trays with three compartments. The coagulation reactions can be clearly observed visually.
Description
The kit contains four different simulated blood samples, each representing a unique blood type. The simulated blood consists of small red and blue ‘spheres’, which mimic red and white blood cells respectively, and can therefore also be studied under a microscope.
The blood typing kit contains:
- Simulated blood from 4 different people (7 mL of each)
- Simulated Anti-A serum, 7 mL
- Simulated Anti-B serum, 7 mL
- Simulated Anti-Rh serum, 7 mL
- 30 blood type trays with 3 compartments
- 3 x 120 plastic sticks in the colors blue, yellow and white

Use of the product
Suitable for teaching genetics and immunology, where students work with concepts such as antigens, antibodies, coagulation and blood group systems. The set does not require any special safety precautions as all content is simulated.
