Battery box for microphones
The battery box functions as a voltage supply for microphones and various sensors when used with equipment that does not provide a voltage for this purpose.Typical examples are connection of a microphone (248600 or 251570) to an oscilloscope or an AC voltmeter.
Description
Also fits any Pasco or Vernier sensor with DIN plug and +5 V supply voltage.
(The opposite case is e.g. Student Timer 200280, SpeedGate 197570 or interfaces from Pasco, all of which provide a voltage supply for microphones and sensors – no need for any battery box in these combinations.)
“Mic” input with 6-pin DIN sockets (240 degrees) is used for Microphone 248600 or Microphone Probe 251570 in combination with cable 248601 (DIN-6).
“Sensor” input with 8-pin DIN socket is used for e.g. Broad Band IR Sensor 287281 and also fits Microphone 248600 or Microphone Probe 251570 in combination with cable 248602 (DIN-5).
(Also used with older model Microphone Probe 251550 Microphone probe.)
Note that these devices have 5-pin DIN plugs; they fit the 8-pin socket perfectly, but keep an eye on the orientation of the plug and avoid excessive force when inserting.
Output in the form of Ø 4 mm safety sockets.
Includes 9 V Alkaline battery 351010.
May be used with a mains adapter 355035 (not included).
