This set consists of 5 cylinders with the same mass of approx. 15 g, but made of different materials: aluminium, brass, nylon, acrylic and PVC.
Description
The purity of the materials is approx. 95%. Each cylinder has a diameter of 1.2 cm, but different lengths depending on the density of the material. The cylinders are lead-free and therefore suitable for use in education.
Use of the product
In physics lessons, the set can be used to investigate the concept of density and give students a concrete understanding of the relationship between mass, volume and density. By measuring the volume and calculating the density of the different materials, students can compare the results with table values and thus work with experimental method and accuracy. The set is particularly suitable for topics such as materials science, density and material properties.
In other contexts, cylinders of known mass and different volumes can be used in technical education, in workshops or in laboratories for demonstration purposes, when the properties of materials and differences in density need to be illustrated.
