Radiation
Crooke’s Radiometer
Crooke’s RadiometerThis product consists of a set of vanes, each with one shiny side and one black side, mounted on a spindle in a partially evacuated glass bulb.
Leslie’s Cube – Thermal Radiation Cube
Leslie’s Cube – Thermal Radiation CubeDemonstrate thermal radiation from four different surfaces. The aluminium plate heats to a uniform temperature of approximately 70°C or 100°C, depending on the setting. The four surfaces (black, white, silver, and polished silver) have different thermal emissivities, causing them to radiate different amounts of radiation even though they are all the same temperature. The photo shows the Leslie’s Cube in visible light on the left and in the infrared on the right.
Radiation Cans
Radiation CansThree cans in different colors to quantitatively investigating a full range of heat transfer phenomena.
Radiation Sensor
Radiation SensorProvides accurate measurements from any source. Open the shutter and read the digital voltmeter.
Stefan-Boltzmann Lamp
Stefan-Boltzmann LampA 12V incandescent lamp is an excellent source of thermal radiation at high, measurable temperatures.
