This clinometer is a simple protractor made of impact-resistant plastic, equipped with a pistol grip for easy aiming. The instrument is used to measure the slope or height of distant objects such as trees, towers or buildings. Using trigonometric calculations, heights and distances can be calculated from the measured angles.
