Diffraction grating, 100 lines/mm
Grating copy encapsulated between two glass plates for protection and flatness. Active grating area approx. 45 × 30 mm; total glass plate size approx. 63.5 × 48 mm. The grating constant (100 l/mm) gives clearly separated diffraction maxima when using common light sources and lasers.
Use of the product
In optics, students can use the grating to measure wavelengths, determine the grating constant, and work with interference/diffraction. The product is used together with a ruler/scale and screen or in spectroscopy exercises.
