Geometric shapes, set of 8 pieces
Geometric figures with removable ‘surfaces’. The set consists of 8 different geometric figures made of transparent plastic. Each figure can be opened and a colored, fold-out plastic part representing the figure’s surface can be removed. The set illustrates the relationship between a figure’s volume and surface area in a tangible and highly visible way.
The figures can be washed with lukewarm water and soap and can therefore be filled with liquid or small grains or sand if the volume needs to be compared between the figures.
Use of the product
The set can be used in mathematics and physics lessons where volume and surface area need to be compared or where surface areas need to be calculated. The set is an ideal support tool in both primary and secondary schools.
